Overview

Women As Leaders® provides the self-awareness and tools to help women grow their confidence, identify big picture opportunities, seek advancement by taking on more responsibilities and ultimately gain earned promotion.

Through a blend of classroom learning, E-learning and one-to-one coaching, delegates are sure to leave this course equipped to advance in their career with confidence, charisma and flair. 

The ‘Women as Leaders’ program was formulated by Ros Taylor. Ros is a leading UK and international psychologist, executive coach, successful businesswoman, an accomplished author and a TV and radio presenter.

Ros travels the world developing the leadership potential of employees through the Just Leadership Ros Taylor Company® program which she also formulated. A creative academic, Ros is a chartered clinical psychologist, coach, trainer and regular speaker on the conference circuit. She has presented in the USA, Europe, and China and completed a lecture tour in Japan.  Newspapers have described her variously as ‘the guru of personal development’ and ‘the best motivational speaker heard this year’.

Ros has developed a unique style of coaching which achieves major insights and shifts in thinking as well as creating a vision for personal and business success. Ros draws on her background as a psychologist to facilitate creative strategies and move people on to become more than they would ever have believed possible. Ros was named by The Independent on Sunday as one of the top 10 coaches in Britain.

Module 1

Learning to Lead

People learn in different ways and this session discusses individual styles and willpower to make the desired shift for long term change. Fast Track to the Top by Ros Taylor produced Ten Commandments for Success from 80 CEOs interviewed.

These will be revealed in this session with practical skills.

Module 2

What kind of leader are you?

There is no template for a leader. All are different as everyone has their own strengths. However, these strengths need to be uncovered. This workshop explores participants’ preferred leadership styles and how they can make the most of them.

The nature of confident leadership will also be addressed here.

Module 3

Communication for challenging situations

Influencing skills are essential for good leadership as the job ceases to be about you and all about those working with you. Learn about the latest research which reveals the persuasion techniques that really work.

The skills to handle even the most challenging people will be outlined and practiced in this workshop.

Module 4

Strategic Leadership

A leader requires a strategy and a vision for the division, team or company to move forward and a focused way to communicate that strategy.

This part of the program looks at the leadership skills necessary to make your strategy memorable and do-able for others.

Module 5

Personal Impact

Making an impact when seeking promotion, making a presentation, or leading team meetings is the aim of this course. Also included is the ability to put a presentation together speedily without jeopardizing quality. Another major skill is how to be relaxed enough to focus on the audience, not your beating heart.

This course will help participants to present to any size of group and have a rewarding, enjoyable experience.

Module 6

Charisma and Creativity

‘Creativity will be the biggest determinant of company success this century’. So why leave creativity to artists? We are all creative! Doing things differently to gain edge, to gain business advantage is in the grasp of all of us. But how to go about it is the challenge and focus of this course.

Becoming a charismatic leader will also be explored with the group practicing the skills when delivering their learning journeys at the end of the course.

  • Charisma – skills and attributes of charismatic leaders
  • Creativity at work – what is it and how you can get more of it
  • Learning journey presentations from participants. Short presentations at the end of the program to chart success and discuss any future challenges
